RELA will accept students over 16 years at all times of the
year, providing that they meet our enrolment conditions. |
| RELA will accept students aged 13, 14 and 15 during holiday periods in the student’s own country and in New Zealand school holidays. These students must meet our normal enrolment conditions and be serious students who will behave well in our regular classes, learning with adults. We reserve the right to put these students in children’s classes if we believe that would be more appropriate for them. |
| We will also accept well-behaved, hard-working 11 and 12 year olds in the holiday periods at the Directors’ discretion. |
| We will accept students aged under 11 years only if at least one parent is in Rotorua for the complete period of study. We will not accept students aged under 11 years who are being looked after by an aunt, cousin, family friend etc. It is New Zealand law that students aged 10 and under cannot enrol in a New Zealand school unless they are living with at least one parent for the whole period of study, or unless they are part of a group tour. |
| Students aged 12 and under will probably be placed in separate classes and taught by teachers who have special skills and materials for teaching children. They will probably not be integrated into our regular classes. |
Before the student/s can be accepted, we will need the following signed
documents
|
In all cases, we would appreciate information about the maturity and motivation of the student. We do not normally have students under 16 in the school, so it is important that any younger students understand that they will be in classes with adults, and will be expected to behave accordingly, and show respect to other students and to staff. |
